Animals
of the Artic





Beluga
Whale:

is an artic cetacean. It's adapted to life in the artic, so has
physiological characteristics that differentiate it from other
cetaceans.


Their
worldwide population is thought to number around 150 000.





Seals:
are
a family of marine mammals adapted to life in water. We know 19
species of seals. The seals live all around the world except the
tropical seals.


They
have very short fur and they lack auditory pavilion.





Polar
fox:
also
named snow fox is a small animal that live around the tundra, mainly
in mountainsides. They have small ears and long fur that permit it
survive in polar climates. In summer, these animals change their fur
for a shorter fur





Walrus:
is a specie of big mammal that live in polar sea regions. Exist three
types of walrus: Atlantic Walrus, Pacific Walrus and Laptev Walrus.
There are about 250 000 different species of walrus.





Polar
Bears:
also
named white bear, is a specie of carnivorous mammal. It´s one of the
most big mammals in the Earth. They live in the polar zone of the
northern hemisphere. Is the unic predatory of the Artic.
