Student Marcela Garcia Title Get to know: Blackbear Type here BLACKBEAR Matthew Tyler Musto, also known as Blackbear, is a 23-year-old American singer, songwritter, rapper and record producer. He writes, sings, and produces most of his music. His music genre is Hip-Hop and R&B. I've never listened to that kind of music, but I've started liking it thanks to Blackbear. At a young age, Matthew involved himself in music and eventually made his way into the local music scene in his home town of Palm Coast, Florida. He was involved in many musical projects such as: The Night Shift, Me The Machine, Boyfriend (Justin Bieber); and most succesfully of all, Polaroid, before he decided he wanted to take on a new genre and new direction and claimed himself a solo artist.
