Niagara Falls

With a width of 1,000 meters and 54 meters high, the Niagara Falls are located between the borders of Canada and the United States and are one of the most beautiful natural spectacles in the world. They are located 650 kilometers from New York.
But this is something that everyone knows so here are some data that might not know about them. Do you know that… ·           The word "Niagara" comes to mean "thunder of water. ·           Originally, were  flowing 5,500 million gallons of water per hour from Niagara Falls. Currently, however, half of that water is diverted to generate electricity in the United States and Canada. ·           The average depth of the water below Niagara Falls is 170 feet, which is as much as the height of the banks Canyon Falls. ·           Although they see very dangerous, fish travel on the Falls, about 90% of them survive. ·           In the 1800s, Niagara Falls are almost solidly frozen and only a small trickle of water running over the cliffs. ·           About 20% of drinking water in the United States passes through Niagara Falls. This are some of them but you can find more on internet!!!                                                                      |
